A rare gem from the Martin Custom Shop, the CS-CFMartinOutlaw-17 is a Limited Edition Dreadnought (1 of only 100 made in 2017) that expertly blends vintage Martin tone with modern playability.
It features Authentic Series construction elements like hide glue assembly and a premium Adirondack Spruce top treated with Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) for an aged, broken-in sound right away. Paired with Genuine Mahogany back and sides and VTS Adirondack bracing, it delivers the powerful, dry, woody tone reminiscent of coveted pre-war D-18s.
Where it "breaks the rules" is its modern Modified Low Oval neck profile with High Performance Taper and a modern belly bridge with a drop-in compensated bone saddle, offering contemporary playing comfort. Exquisite details include fine herringbone trim, antique white binding, a Brazilian Rosewood headplate with the Script Golden Era logo, and open-gear tuners. In Very Good (VG) condition, this collectible instrument includes its original Martin 545V Harptone hardshell case (OHSC).
