This torrefaction process artificially ages the wood, resulting in enhanced volume, responsiveness, and the open, broken-in character of a vintage guitar. Paired with solid Mahogany back and sides and hand-carved scalloped X bracing within the comfortable Orchestra Model (OM) body shape, this guitar strongly evokes the sound of a classic pre-war Martin OM-18.
 
Playability is excellent thanks to the Mahogany neck with a Traditional Even "C" profile, Ebony fingerboard, 1 3/4" nut width, and comfortable 24.9" short scale length.
